Sure looks like a Guild to me. Then again, consider the avatar.

"I used this guitar for writing and playing at home. I don’t play the electric much at home." (all quotes by Eric Clapton)

From Clapton's upcoming book "Six String Stories."

>F50, maybe?<
Well, considering that he was in an F-50 ad in the late 60s early 70s, very likely and F-50.

More than likely, remember he was in a bunch of their promotional lit for the model and I think one of those pics is in Hans' book. Hans even posted some ultra rare pics from one of the photo shoots here, a while back.
Also have a buddy who says "Thorntree in the Garden" on Layla was recorded with an F50R, he was into that kind of esoterica back in the day but I have no idea if it's true or not.
Ahhh I see Brad found one of the promotional pics while I was wrting this. :)

Yep, I remember drooling over the Guild catalogue when this was on the cover (or at least somewhere in it), although I admit mostly over the high end archtops and the Mark V/VI at the time.

That's a cool picture! I've never seen that before, thanks!

You'd think he could afford to replace the ripped cover of that "divan" he's sitting on!

The first picture is from Cream/Blind Faith days based on the clothes and haircut. And the guitar is blond, so it can't be the later Gruhn designed ones in the ads posted by SFIV67 and 5thumbs. The photo in the Guild ad posted by Brad Little was on the cover of a catalog (I think '68 but I can't find the scan I made of that catalog).
