I don't know if you guys are Tigers fans, but I congratulate the Tigers and all of their fans on a great series win last night. Looking forward to watching some fantastic Tiger's pitching tomorrow night against the hottest offense in baseball. They say great pitching wins championships, we'll see. Verlander is incredible.

A few shots I took at last Saturday night's game against the Rays in the ALDS. We were lucky enough to score some good seats for that one. :)

The Rangers have a couple of pitchers too. Here's a few shots of Ogando and Feliz.

And a few shots of some of the sticks, Napoli right before he hit a 2 run single in the 5th as I recall.

As far as the Tigers are concerned, nothing in baseball feels better than beating the best. To me it's a true show of respect to savor a win over the Yankees.

I think the Phillies will represent the National League Ravon, we'll see. I do think they'd be the most difficult opponent for the Rangers, if they get past Detroit. I'm a big Roy Ozwalt fan from back in the days when Houston was really becoming a farm club for the rest of MLB. The Phillies certainly have the pitching to go all of the way.

As a loyal member of the ancient and noble order of Fenway, I have to throw my support for the Tigers in the AL, anybody who beats the Yankees is okay in my book. I'm pulling for a Cards-Tigers series, but then my loyalties would be divided so I could just enjoy the games.

the cards and the "rally squirrel" pulled it out. 1-0 in game 5.

Man, a great game.............. what a pitching duel. Just too many missed opportunities by the Phillies. Congratulations to the Cardinals and Cards fans. Gosh I love playoff baseball.

Yeah, gotta love it when the Tigers beat the Yanks, who knows how it woulda turned out if game #1 hadn't been rained out? That changed the pitching rotation all around, to the Yankees' disadvantage in the final game.

Tigers - Rangers promises to be a great series, 2 teams that are both on fire! I'll be glued to the TV at 8:07 tonight!

Tell ya what Marc, there are no more die hard Ranger fan out there than myself, but I'm looking so forward to watching Verlander pitch. I love great pitching and a great catcher. C.J. Wilson has been struggling in my view as of late, but he's good. I'd give the pitching edge to Detroit, but definately the "rest" edge goes to the Rangers. Hard to say though how the rest thing will work out. I'd assume the Tigers had to jump a plan from New York to Dallas yesterday, and the Rangers have had all week to watch baseball and practice a bit (I hope). Then again, the Tigers may still be warm and the Rangers may have cooled down......we'll see.

I'll second that emotion. Great time of year and the best ball, too.

Go....anybody! Just play ball! :D

Joe

Like most sports I guess, playoff baseball is just so much more intense. Success and failure just seem to be magnified.

Yeah, Jim, the Tigers and Rangers were both on a winning streak, we were waiting for the Rangers to lose just one game so the Tigers would gain home field advantage but it didn't happen. Oh well, Detroit took out the Yanks anyway! :D

Yup, gotta love Verlander, what an arm. Coach made the right choice to keep him out of game 5 the other night.

And who'd have thought the Detroit Lions would come back against Dallas for the biggest meltdown of the Cowboys' history? Not me, when the Lions were down by 24 points!

Shaping up to be a great game Marc. Wilson struggling in the 1st...... we'll see if he can pull it together. Verlander a tad shakey himself.

But ya gotta cherish the rain nonetheless. I'm hopin' for a Milwaukee-Rangers World Series cuz I don't think the Brew Crew can beat Detroit. Sorry Ranger fans...just enjoy the rain.

Peace

So the Tigers get a rain delay in both of Verlander's playoff debuts so far, go figure...
