Can't disagree with Mr D-Lite there! But it does look very nice, all original, Guild case....and those are some nice pictures on that website!

That's a lot of dough for that guitar...
+1 on the cost---but it looks like it's a real beauty and in fairly nice shape.

That one was brought to my attention as well as I am in the hunt for a 1963 "birthday" guitar. It looks great for sure, but the price is high for that model, and never having played one I don't know what the sound is like. Can anyone chime in on that? I am looking for a guitar for primarily jazz, but with a little blues sprinkled in for color.

This should pretty much fit the bill for the musical part....looks great too, and half the price... Steffan viewtopic.php?f=10&t=30173

Yikes, maybe I've underpriced mine in the FS area then?

I think you are in the ball park Sean, you are also competing with Starfires, which are considered a higher end, but they are similar...yours is really nice but not as pristine as the 63. I think people might be willing to go up to around $1500 including shipping and hard shell case...The Franz pups might make it more valuable than mine, but mine isn't for sale or even in the same ball park...pretty beat up when I got it, including broken off headstock...its a player now. Also the asking price isn't really an accurate measure of what it will sell for, so if you want to sell it...it has to make sense in the current market...not putting yours down at all...its nice for sure...Just don't be disappointed if you find you can't sell it for a couple of grand....regards Steffan :)

Looks nice as well, but she is two years older than me, and is thus not a "true" birthday guitar :(
