I just picked up my D 35 today and am stunned by how good it turned out. My luthier said it is a special guitar. They did a superb job. Reset, refret, bridge from Hans, nut and saddle. They did a great job putting a thin nitro finish on the neck that had been sanded down to the bare wood ages ago. This is a very balanced guitar with perhaps the most pleasing high end I've ever had the pleasure of experiencing. Worth the year I waited for it. Pics to follow tomorrow in a new thread. Those early ( Hoboken label ) Westerly guitars were built light for sure.

That sounds like a jewel Br1ck.. It is always nice when a luthier tells you you've got something special.. They see a lot come and go if they're any good.
