I'm a big Nanci fan but she broke my heart a few years ago when she stated that she would move out of the USA if President Bush was re-elected.
Being a native Texan I didn't expect that from her.

Nanci moved over to Taylor guitars quite a while ago.
Her ex-husband was a Taylor and he played Taylor guitars.
I can't say whether that was in any way a factor in the change.

Bill Stains is one of the best Folk singer/song writers of all time.
I would put him in the same class as Pete Seeger and Woody Guthrie.

I'm not sure what this has to do with a D-100 but I'm too laze to start a new thread.

I am also a big fan of Bill Staines... saw him recently in concert with some friends. My buddy Darryl, who had never seen/heard Bill before remarked that he was "really a poet who put his words to music"...

Bill plays an old Martin.... D-18, I think. Not quite as beat as Willie's "Trigger," but getting there. Clearly shows the effects of 2 million miles of travelin' the road. Someone in the audience asked what year... '50s or 60s sometime, I think (can't remember... I can look it up tonight).

My wife gave me his "Autobiography" for Christmas last year... an interesting read. Not Pulitzer material, but an interesting tale of life as a road musician. Turns out, the Martin goes on the road trips, but when he flies up to Alaska he plays a..... Guild D-50! :p
(leaves the Martin with friends in Seatlle or Portland, as I recall).
