I sometimes think AG is too enamored of Martin, Taylor, Breedlove and Larrivee and neglects Guild, but then I am biased.
Hi bassmyf; I don't subscribe to it ... is there much FMIC/Guild advertising in it? Any at all? Johnbassmyf said:Just got my new Acoustic Guitar mag. and tore through it looking for the D40 article. After the second fruitless time through, realized its only the Sept. issue. Duh..

Hi Howard; thank you ... not holding my breath either. JsfIII said:I do subscribe and last I noticed FMIC was advertising bi-monthly. Just a one page ad not upfront or in the back... After Bill Schultz passed, I've heard that FMIC was run by some Warton School MBA's... I expect the worst.capnjuan said:Hi bassmyf; I don't subscribe to it ... is there much FMIC/Guild advertising in it? Any at all? In multi-line firms, every brand has to have a division manager to fight for advertising/public relations budget, sales price discount authority ... :?Dr. Spivey said:Could very well be the kiss of death. :roll:sfIII said:After Bill Schultz passed, I've heard that FMIC was run by some Warton School MBA's... I've been subscribing to AG for several years, and it seems I never see Guild ads. Within the last year or so they ran an article called "Six Guitars that Changed History" or something like that. You know, a classic Martin Dreadnought, a classic Gibson Gibson, etc. When it came time to profile a ground breaking 12er, they picked . . . A Taylor! Sheesh.capnjuan said:Hi bassmyf; I don't subscribe to it ... is there much FMIC/Guild advertising in it? Any at all? The man in charge is Bill Mendello, who took over for Bill Schultz in 2005. Mendello was already the COO before becoming CEO.Dr. Spivey said:sfIII said:After Bill Schultz passed, I've heard that FMIC was run by some Warton School MBA's... I expect the worst.
