If you wanna' see the D-100's bigger brother, the JF-100, featured prominently here's a video of The Corrs from Ireland doing a very folksy version of Little Wing. This JF-100 has the carved heel. Guild really hit it out of the park with these -100 models. (oh, and there's also a Guild 12-string shown on the guitarist's stand about halfway through, probably an F-512 but I'm not certain... :) )

No WaltW I wasn't talking about the girls (pretty for sure 👯‍♀️), but this version ain't nothing special I find (it's a Jimmy Hendrix song, difficult to cover) ...I've heard better Irish and Celtic music too (this being said, I don't know much about them anyway)...

The guitar (D-100) looks outstanding to me for sure (such a mint condition for a 92 made or started).

I understand completely. I just saw a chance to comment in another way and for me Sharon Coor has one of the sweetest singing voices presently out there. Just listen to the MTV Unplugged version of "Runaway".
Sorry to veer from the thread topic:unsure:

My fault, I'm afraid. Bernie, the Corrs were very popular in the states years ago. I haven't heard much from them lately, but I do love that rendition of Little Wing. My point was mostly about the guitar(s) though, even if you got distracted. :D

Oh don't worry, no big deal you both ☀️ , just thought singer girl was acting a bit too much for my taste, and I'm surprised she doesn't sing as a girl should do ('well, he's walking...', and so on), but maybe she's in love with an other girl then. Just had some headache at the time :giggle: I think. In those circumstances I end up liking fancy guitars even better than pretty girls 🙂 (if they are already married ;) 🎸:devilish: at least, of course...)

I find this guitar purely fantastic from the way it looks : very likely the kind that can be a life guitar for most many here...I wonder if it matches the DV72 or 73 (I'm fond of) tone wise (?).

Thanks

Thanks for posting that, really liked the Coors at the time. I understand the lead singer died not too long ago.

Back to that D100, WOW, gorgeous. Let me know if it doesn’t strike your fancy…😃, it would look good hanging in my living room.

Sharon Coor, lead singer and violin player, is still alive and singing at 53 years old along with her two sisters and brother.
Delores O'Riordan the singer for the Cranberries from the Limerick Ireland passed in 2018, accidental drownding. and Marie Fredriksson of Roxette in 2019, cancer.
