Hello:

I have several Guild guitars I would like to inquire about to the knowledgeable members.

They are:

Doyle Dykes DD6RCE

G-75 RC (1 of 6?)

D-130E (blonde) (carved heel)

I am curious as to your thoughts re collectability, relative scarcity, etc. I have found little online info regarding the D-130 and G-75 RC.

Thanks

The G-75RC is a rare model emanating from the Custom Shop in the late 1990s.

Here is a thread that also links to other threads and sources relating to this model.

The DC-130E (not D-130) is another rare model (22 produced according to the serial number chart, which may or may not be accurate).

Here is a thread.

This model is a polarizing one in the Guild community. It has the same appointments as the D100, JF00 (and some others), but its maple top is a negative for many, since the consensus is that these guitars sound terrible unplugged.

Yeah the G75rc is a pretty rare, blinged out dreadnaught size guitar vs the G75 which is a completely different 3/4 size mini dreadnaught.

The DDRRCE Doyle Dykes rosewood is also relatively uncommon and comparable in size to an F47. I had the maple version DDMCE.

Both gorgeous guitars.

I can confirm the D 130E sounds less than inspiring unplugged. Haven't plugged it in.

Of the 22 Doyle Dykes 6 string I recorded for sale online, only 3 were rosewood. If your DD6rce is similar to my DD6MCE, it is good but is really made to be plugged in. I like my CV-1CE as much unplugged ,, an F47 shape rosewood. The F-47 is more comfortable to play sitting down than a dread. You have a nice collection.

The D-130E has a maple soundboard if I'm not mistaken. Acoustic dud, and made to be plugged in. You should plug in and tell us the difference!!
