I vote for having no pickguard at all, but if I have to choose I`d go with black.

Me, I'd go for neither guard. That wood is beautiful and the thought of covering any of it up is not my cuppa tea - besides, the guitar is already branded on the Guildsby and the headstock. I never did much like the script on that pickguard logo - the headstock logo is much more elegant and refined.
