Did Guild make a D50 or D55 Cutaway type guitar pre-Fender?

If you ever have occasion to watch Red Green (catch him on youtube), I could see him making yours into a cutaway, with ample amounts of duct tape, of course.

My '89 is fine just the way it is,

No need to trade away that beloved guitar. With a bandsaw you could add a cutaway to any guitar. Just like Jerry Reed did with his Baldwin!
