No, S-25's came in both two knob and three knob versions. The S-250 has four knobs.I love that! I'm no expert but doesn't the 3 knobs make that an S-250?

Only the first series S-250 starting 1981 had 4 knobs (also like in the catalog above). The later S-250 like in the 1983 catalog only had 3 knobs (2 Volume, one Tone).The S-250 has four knobs.
