The wife is out of town, the toddler is fast asleep in bed for the night. I’m sitting on the front porch at twilight (80 degrees) , new to me D50 in hand (freshly strung up this morning after slotting the bridge) and a stiff drink by my side. Life is good.

PS: I love my wife more than anything but we all need alone time.

Teach it how to say really fun things and start a YouTube channel. My wife visits those.
Oh this morning he was babbling nonsense and it was truly funny. Every now and then he gets a real word or two in there.... like "WHAT??" or "Are you kidding me?" or something. Don't even try to make a phone call while he's in the room. Everyone is like, "Is this a bad time, do you have someone there??" no it's just the bird, let me go in the other room.....

My parents have an African Gray Parrot. Once when visiting, it overheard me say the two worst English curse words there are in a row. It has been saying them constantly, on an almost daily basis, for over 20 years now!

Let some Real Finn visit him and he'll learn the real thing instaead of those lame english expressions.

In a pinch - if no finn is available - maybe an italian or spaniard will do . . . 😂

Oh and hooked on phonics doesn't work for birds. He eats pretty much what we do, plus seeds and corn. Corn is his favorite, so I decided to teach him to say it. I kept holding up the cob and saying KOOOORRRNN! Over and over. So now he says coooorrrrnn like a retarded person. They learn exactly what you say......

Quiet time is good, especially if a guitar is involved. :D

There's something about grabbing your guitar first thing in the morning that works like no other time for me, refreshed, clear headed, it's intense.

Mornings and evenings are like night and day for me, in the mornings no pain, lots of energy, in the evening everything hurts and I can barely move, and my mind is tired, sometimes frazzled, my kid accused me of Sundowning a long long time ago.
