Just wondering if anyone has tried these strings and if so what's your thought on them.

Never tried these, but I like some of the other DR strings I've tried. Right now I have a set of black coated strings on my D-25M. They sound pretty good, but the black is a bit odd, and it comes off. From a distance it looks like the guitar has no strings on it.

Most here may already know this, but just in case -- here's something from the DR company website:

"At DR, we maintain copious amounts of guitars (especially Guild acoustics) for testing. We are partial to Guild guitars for 2 reasons. First, we like them. Second, Mark Dronge, the founder of DR HandMade Strings, is the son of Guild Guitars Founder, Al Dronge."

I use them on my Gibson Super 400. Mine is an acoustic guitar and I added a Lindy Fralin floating pu. Even though I asked when I bought the pu for it to balanced for acoustic strings, I found the volume string to string to be a bit uneven. The Zebras make it balanced and still have a decent acoustic sound. With regular acoustic strings it sounds better but the DR are a good compromise.

When I used a magnetic P/U on my acoustics, I used them sometimes, along w/ GHS "White Bronze" sets...sounded OK new, amplified beautifully, but went dead faster than other sets.

Seems like the GHS "White Bronze" sets lasted a week or two longer, but it's been easily 10 years since I last used either set.
