I wondered who would be the first to throw that one in and it was a toss-up between you and Al.
You win again, eh?
Joe
DANG I go try to give West some bike advice and I get back to find myself gettin' ripped to shreds! WELL....lemme say this about that.....I likes 'em built for comfort baby...and as an invertebrate neck man I'm gettin' REALLY fond of my sweet li'l F65ce lately, why her neck's as delicate as my... as my... and she fits in my lap just like.....just like...ummm...I gotta go now, bye!

Now back to the topic of the thread, I agree with you that the curvacious shape of small bodies is sweeter on the eye than the dreads. But I love my dreads just the same for their POWER!!!!..... :D

To veer once more, when you planning on hunting down a jumbo for that massive collection of yours? Do I smell an F50 in your future?

....and you smell right!
The F50-R is definitely one of my targets, problem is they tend to be offered at a price range that I'm not really comfortable with.
Like you, I can't see myself spending a large amount of money on one guitar, especially when you see what you can get staying under one k. (which is the case for every single one that you can see under my sig).

The only jumbo I have had the pleasure of playing was an old Westerly F50M that is in severe need of a neck reset and let me tell you, that baby can sing! I hope to sample some F50Rs soon as I think people tend to sway towards them over the maple. Yes it is amazing what you can get for under 1K. What is funny is that when I got interested in Guilds I bought a brand new GAD30 because I couldn't afford the F30 equivalent. Fast forward almost 2 years and I ended up getting my F30 for $100 less than my GAD30. Ahhhh gotta love the recession!

But hey, I did spell rhododendron correctly.
And THAT was impressive enough by itself!
Most don't even know what it is, and for those, here's a pic of some nice specimen in front of my humble little home (the big hanging leaves in front of the palms):

From 3,000 miles away, your specimen looks like a philodendron. :D

And another veer,

Love the TLC you gave the grass. Much more lush. I guess watering does help!

Actually the best part of the grass story is this:
(Ian, hang in there mate, we'll get back to your thread momentarily....)
After I bought this house (and yes, it was a short sale), I called the city to tell them that erosion had taken a toll on my backyard, which had partly run into the canal that is in the back of the property. They came look at it the following day, and started working on re-doing the canal banks the following week, for my house and 2 adjacent ones, using my property to dump the fill and access the canal, driving the backhoe and the bobcat around my house, since it was the only property with a wide enough access and no fence.
In return for this service, after they were done, they recovered my whole property (front back and side) with new grass.
I must say that little house was a great deal from start to finish..... and I have my music room now!!!!

Now to veer 2: I'm ready Treem..... F50-R, under 1k!

Thanks Ian.
Having to reconcile a limited disposable income with my GAS affliction, makes me a very careful (some would say cheap) buyer....
It's all about the opportunity: Right guitar at the right time at the right price!
