Did you know the very first ones were actually 260's, and that Shelby had the first car re-painted several times for auto mag shoots and investor meetings, to give the impression there were more cars than had actually been built yet? Before John DeLorean there was Carrol Shelby.......

Meanwhile, before the Olds Vista Cruiser, in 1935 over at Horch , the model 853 did well at LeMans

Climate control was said to be problematic but it could go like a Horch with a straight-8.
Looks like a car Gregor Samsa would love.

And I have finally seen the light. You can keep your E-types, and 250 GTO's, and Cobras, and Gull-wing coupes.
I have seen Alfa and it is good:

Cool.

But not as cool as Neil's:

I read the article. The cars are interesting, but I really thought the writer's bio was funny ...

"Mark Vaughn grew up in a Ford family and spent many hours holding a trouble light over a straight-six miraculously fed by a single-barrel carburetor while his father cursed Ford, all its products and everyone who ever worked there. This was his introduction to objective automotive criticism."

My how times have changed, good grief... how you could tell somebody that's worth $6k with a straight face, no clue.

No title, no dash, and almost no car left either.

If it had a title the VIN might be worth that, but without? No chance.
