I'll have to see if I can get hold of some pictures that I took, back in 1982 in Chicago, of an exhibit of prototype cars.

Did someone express an interest in vehicles with a high center-mounted headlamp?

Meet the "Sir Vival" concept car . . . from the renowned automotive-design metropolis of Worcester, MA.

This video clip includes an interview & visit with one of the only "sirviving" examples, beginning at about the 2 minute mark:

When my Wife bought our Jeep in 1992 from the dealer, we went and got a book called the " Off road guide to Southern California " We drove to a few spots and most often said , " Not while we're still making payments ! " Some spots required a winch as well. We never did any rock crawling. I like driving the Jeep home under it's own power, thank you.

Opens with Pink Floyd, Wow!

A very enjoyable 20 minutes.

I've always wanted to go see this sometime. It looks like a whole lot of fun! My tire and alignment guy has raced this for years with his dad using old SAABs--their lot is full of them. I'm not sure if they race the 3-cylinder two-strokes or the 4-stroke V4s. Apparently, they're popular with rally racers. Who knew!

Toronado Camper.

I was in Farmington NM in the winter of '76/77, Four Corners, and somehow this beautiful lady let me drive her black '68 Toronado to Durango CO on mountain roads in the winter, intense. Amazing car, weird flat floor, power like a Caddy, dead quiet, a whole lotta torque, pin you back in your seat pretty hard, and the handling on the mountain roads was insane.

I always got stuck driving somehow starting at a real young age, and liked it because I was good at it, maybe a little too good, leading to having multiple muscle cars and piles of tickets, court appearances.

Probably because of ADD, my concentration level when I drive is very high, like super focus.

Cool video, impressed that the cars have digital displays.

Imagine doing this race on a motorcycle!
Hard work for sure. I think there’s a line in the movie where one of the VW Bug guys says that even the bike guys think they’re crazy. He says it with obvious pride too.
