Good enough for you to want to buy it, if it ever became available? That's the true litmus test. It is Hammerworthy?

But again, is it Hammerworthy in its refinned state, o' master of the white S-100s.

No, but only cuz I'm a stickler for original finishes. It is purty though.

Casey,

I'll be in KC 9 days. I'll pick up my guitar then....

Do you mind sharing where you got that done at? I have a lot of KC metro friends that would be interested in a good Luthier.

Guitar looks great.

Heya Jeff,

I had Dave Seuferling from Seuf's Guitars do the work. He's a local(ish) luthier who is making a name for his custom build/relic work. The work he did on mine was top-notch and quite affordable, from refin to setup. If you're patient (took about 3 months to get the S-100 complete), you can't lose. I'm sure his setup/small repair turnaround times are pretty reasonable.

Here's a couple links (two from my local music store's blog and one to his site)

P.S.

The only way this one would ever come up available is if the sale would net me enough to buy an original white S-100 with Guildsby...
And if that ever happens, I better hold onto it until it appreciates another 100% :)

Thanks for all the kind words, folks.

Very cool! Thanks!

I used to visit Mass Street music anytime I could. They have killer gear there.

My best friends band The Future Kings plays Lawrence on occasion.

Again, great new/old guitar.

Absolutely beautiful job and almost exactly the S100 that I have been lusting after for several years! Don't get me wrong, I love my '73 w/a Cherry finish. But I would really like to stumble on a late seventies model like the one you found - in great shape minus some finish wear - in order to refinish it in white. I would like to leave the neck wood grain, though (I know, sacrilegious) with a very light urethane coat. I just love how a worn in neck feels when it is basically your flesh on wood. Call me crazy. But again - Gorgeous work! Congrats!
