No, because the neck still needs to be wide enough to hold the two grahpite reinforcing rods.

Aside from that, I have grown accustomed to playing the "wide" Guild 12 string neck, and like it as my standard guitar to play.

The one NH F412 I have tried has a neck which is shallower than my JF30-12 & was more comfortable to play as a result. You can hollow the neck out on the JF30-12 & use it as a canoe! Width may be the same but the JF30-12 neck is a lot chunkier than the NH F412.

Someone on here wondered when they started using the two rods in 12s My F-212 was made in 1964, the first year of Guild 12s, and it has two truss rods, so they used them right from the beginning. I wonder who came up with the idea.
