F-30 string recommendations?

Tons of possibilities, Sam. Not sure if John Pearse strings are available down under, but be sure to try those sometime (uncoated, PB).

If you're looking to take the edge off, try some silk and steel. The Thomastik Spectrum strings are terrific and they will undoubtedly change your view of strings forever if you give them a shot.

Anyway, good luck. The hunt for the right strings is part of the joy of ownership.

I will add that while DR Rare was my first suggestion, it might be worth trying John Pearse 80/20 which are probably the ultimate brass strings. They should be pretty good for fingerstyle playing at the very least.

The Thomastik Spectrum's may also have a similar effect. To be honest, I haven't actually used them yet, although when compared to some Elixir's in demos they sound very full in comparison so I'm interested.

JP 80/20s are the brightest 80/20 strings I have ever heard.
