I thought you were looking for the F47R, which is under Traditional Series in the Grand Orchestra category. The F30R is in the Standard Series, under Orchestra category. They BOTH have Spec tabs with the specific information about the dimensions. ALL THE INFORMATION ON THOSE TWO MODELS IS THERE.

I appreciate everyone helping me with all the great information. Thanks. I have gone to Guilds web site and tried to get the spec of the dimensions for the orchestra body but I am not getting it to show up on my computers.:witless: I see everything I need on the grand orchestra, but on the orchestra all I see is what wood is used, no dimensions.

If someone could get me the lower bout and depth, plus length of the orchestra body I would appreciate it.

Thanks
Mike

I measured my GSR F-30R a few minutes ago.

Body width lower bout: 38.6cm = 15.2"
Body width upper bout: 29.9cm = 11.8"
Body depth lower end (at strap button): 11.2cm = 4.4"
Body depth upper end (at neck): 9cm = 3.5"
Body length: 49.1cm = 19.3"

Excellent information Ralf. Thanks for taking the time to measure your guitar. It looks like it is close to a Martin Grand Performance or a Taylor Grand Concert.

For posterity purposes, can you also supply the waist (width) and the nut (width) measurements of your guitar?
The waist width is 23.7cm = 9.3".
Nut width on the GSR F-30R is standard 1 11/16" (42mm). (The F-30R Standard has a 1 3/4" nut.)

It looks like it is close to a Martin Grand Performance or a Taylor Grand Concert.
I have a Martin OMJM, and the body size is almost similar, but the OMJM is 1cm = 0.4" thinner both at lower end and upper end of the body. So the GSR F-30R body has more air to move.

Our member satirikus also had the same GSR F-30R that I have (we actually bought them in the same store) but he sold her. He preferred his F-47R instead. He said the F-47R was much better for his playing. Have a read here: http://www.letstalkguild.com/ltg/sh...47R-opinions&p=1489830&viewfull=1#post1489830

I just noticed that the 2012 (NAMM 2013) catalog included the official measurements for the Orchestra body (F-30 series, F-130R, AO-3CE). Some are slightly different compared to what I measured on my GSR F-30R.

Body length: 19 3/8"
Lower Bout Width: 15"
Upper Bout Width: 11 1/2"
Waist Width: 9 3/8"
Neck Heel Depth: 3 1/2"
Tail Depth: 4 1/4"
Total Length: 41"

Here's what I've got for dimensions on my '07 F-30:

BL: 19 3/8
LBW: 15 1/4
UBW: 11 3/4
WW: 9 3/8
NHD: 3 1/2
TD: 4 3/8
TL: 41

So, at least from these two examples, it would seem that the GSR is a quarter inch narrower across both bouts compared to the Aragon, and slightly slimmer at the tail.

While we are on the subject, I took the F-30 to a jam last night, as it is the only six-string I have with a pick-up. We started playing unplugged, passing our guitars around for others to try (including vintage Martins, a really nicely-aged Gibson Hummingbird, an Eastman, a custom-built spruce/cherry orchestra, and an American Ovation from the New Hartford shop). That little F-30 shone like a diamond in that group. Easily the loudest guitar there. I even got complements from the Martin owners, as each took their turn with it.

I would not have traded that F-30 for any of the other guitars passed my way last night.

No, they are almost exactly same. My GSR was around 15.2" at LBW, you measured 15.25 (0.25 = 1/4). So basically same. Also at UBW I measured 11.8", you measured 11.75, so again basically same. TD was 4.4" on the GSR and you measured 4,375, again same. (the spec shows 4.25).
