Well, you’ve already got a mahogany Guild jumbo in the Oxnard F-40. I’m not a big fan of square shouldered dreads which are a dime-a-dozen (and you have the D-15), so forget them both & go for a 16” maple small-jumbo!
I think somebody was selling a maple F-40 recently. I should have jumped on that.

For what it's worth, the vintage maples are the best sounding guitars I've every tried. I'm not much of a player but there's nothing comparable to me. Too bad they didn't make a budget maple back in the day.

Early F20's had maple backs:

When G37 was introduced it was actually $5 less than a D40:

By '01 it was $100 cheaper as a D30:

The G37, D30 and maple variants of the F-30 or GF-30 were never a super expensive maple guitars.

There just aren’t a whole lot of maple guitars out there in general. A lot of people sleep on them but the Guilds easily made the best maple guitars of any major builder.

Rich Cohen was selling his here in the FS section, and I believe he still has it. Excellent price & full work up by Tom Jacobs. Might want to PM him. If I didn’t already have my ‘74 F-40…..
Rich’s F40 looked like a perfect example of this Guild model too.

If it was done by Fixit (Tom Jacobs) it's likely as good as it can get.
and knowing my F30r as I do and the shallower depth, which I don't super like, I would have made an offer on his F40 had I been in the market and had the funds. I think that could be the perfect size/shape of Guild acoustic for me. I hope someone here got it, it had the coolest burst too.
