(BTW, the battery pack weighs 12+ pounds. Gonna' take a lot of AAs to help this bike go anywhere. :D :D )

"GAD would be proud on how well I dressed the cables!"

Zip ties? ;) 😁
Lots of zip ties, but also some plastic C clamps that are affixed to the down tube. There are eyeholes all over the place to support the zip ties and lock them in place. Anyway, super easy and barely visible dressing. That's the goal anyway, right? :D

And, frankly, this would've been a cake walk for GAD. :D

Heck Charlie, I'm impressed. Not as impressed with the cables as in the fact that at our age, you're getting out there and riding a bike. Many our age just say the heck with it......they hurt, or they are tired all of the time, or don't think they have time. I see exercise at 66-67 as survival!

That is a serious issue for me now, Jim. You've got a couple of years on me, but at 61 I totally dig what you're saying.

I bought this bike because I really wanted to (literally) get back in the saddle. Bad weather in New England takes the wind out of everyone's sails around here, and it's just not necessary to let all those months go without some good cardio on the bike! This fat e-bike is the bee's knees for me.

I'm really psyched. Greetings from Sterling, MA... About 7 miles from my house by road. Here's a picture out the window of Dunkin' Donuts there. I did between 25 and 30MPH most of the way and it was totally doable!!!! Fat tires on the road are fantastic! I may not hit the actual trails right away (that's what I really love to do), but this thing can do it all, Jim!

How do you do cardio on an electric bike?:ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Park a block away from the donut store?

Just ribbing, chaz!
I ride from donut store to donut store. :D :D

Seriously, you'd have to ride one to understand, effin. The power controller has 6 assist settings that you play with on the fly and with switching among the 8 mechanical gears, I'm always pedaling. It's a ton of cardio. The assist just makes it possible to actually use Fättie for real riding!

Now wait a minute Charlie, a great cardio workout, then doughnuts? :ROFLMAO: You sound like me.......but I tell Mrs. West to imagine how bad it would be if I hadn't done the workout?

Donuts make everything better.
Sadly, I haven't had a donut (or any dessert) in 14 years since I was diagnosed with diabetes. Self-imposed exile, as sweets are a slippery slope for me.

Truthfully, I don't miss donuts, but I do miss ice cream. Dunkin was a cappuccino stop for me. And, there's plenty of those stands around too here in MA, but I don't stop at them. :)

FYI, I've spent a lot of time on Fättie this month and I have to say... this bike is wonderful!!! Couldn't be happier. I can now heartily recommend this bike to anyone who likes to ride mountain bikes but has backed away from the sport for some reason... It's transformative.
