I need to find a tongue sticking out or raspberry icon. The National Weather Service just issued a frost alert for tonight for us.

Of course, our recent precipitation was rain and the wind is why we are not sitting outside, at least for short periods.

The wind finally died down here. The past few days saw gusts to 25. I had to wet the horse hay just to keep it from blowing away. (Not a whole bale, each horse gets a flake or two at night.) We had a coolish couple of days but temps are back up today and AC has kicked on. I'm glad there's no snow, but not looking forward to the all out heat. It's reasonably pleasant at the moment.

What's a frost alert? Frost around here is not concerning. Is it worse in Virginia?

It's been raining non-stop for days, except for this one break yesterday when this happened:

It was one of the most intense bright fully-colored rainbows I've ever seen. Glorious.

Right about the same time my wife took this from the back yard:

Someone in town took this one and posted it to facebook, coincidentally from the house we almost bought:

As said, that's beautiful!

I think I have a picture of a triple rainbow from a few years ago here. I've seen some doubles but had never seen a triple before or since. The third one was pretty pale though.

We get some great rainbows on the rare times that there's rain. Today, 72 and partly cloudy. No wind. So nice. If it could stay like this all the time.... everyone would move here. So now we wait for the 🔥🔥

Oddly enough, here in Portland, OR we got 2-6 inches of snow throughout the metro area after having 45-70 degree weather the last three months. We haven't had snow fall since December, and then all of a sudden - 4 inches this morning!
