We’ve probably got three or four inches here on the eastern Connecticut shoreline and it’s still coming down really well.

About two inches of very dry, fluffy snow has fallen in the last few hours, and continues to come down.
Just shovelled the walk and driveway to get ahead of it (easier to shovel 2 inches twice than 4 inches once) and because I have a hockey game to play this afternoon.

Ours was just about a foot... melted down to 7-8" the next day and froze up. I hear we are due another couple inches tomorrow night or Sat (I haven't looked, the wife gave me a report earlier).

This has been just a fizzle of a winter up here in New England. Only one real winter storm that dropped snow this year; everything else was just rain and sleet. I think I broke out the snowblower 3 times, total! Usually it's at least 10 times.

Anyway, I just thought I'd post some pictures of a localized ice storm that we just had over the weekend here in central MA. The last pic is my front yard on Saturday evening before the long rain/sleet Saturday night. The rest of the pics are from Sunday morning. If you zoom in you'll get a feel for the beauty. Absolutely exquisite to see and drive through with the top down. Lots of branches on the local roads but no damage to me and mine.

I was going to plow, however my plans were changed by 10 am. Glad I have a neighbor with a big truck. That is my log splitter next to the cow fence. There is a stack of wood there somewhere too ;) Got about 18 inches here.

Very nice, C. W. What's the gizmo in the picture? Is that a well pump?

[Never mind, I see that it's your log splitter.... :) ]

Ugh. We were out skiing in warm, sunny Bend, OR. Sure it was nice but while we were relegated to skiing groomers and slush it was nuking snow in VT. Just got home yesterday.

Just heard on the radio, (yes, I still listen to the radio) that the highest in VT was 32 inches. Needless to say,3-23-24-8am.jpg my old 8hp didn't weigh enough to push it. Just got my car dug out today, enough so I can get the new power steering line on. I am getting to old for this ;)

I'm in MetroWest and we just got rain--about 3 inches.
I was out in Gardner today and I was shocked to see the snow--guess I missed that on the weather.
My brother, who live in southeast VT got 8 inches of snow Sat night.
Weird winter--I'm afraid this is climate change........
Bad for the farmers--a week of 60 degrees and then snow, ice and 25. Yikes.

Sounds like Eastern NH is in for the ice today. I am hoping it doesn't get this far West, since I am planning on crawling under the car today.
