Now, mind you, I had a few ukes including a Guild baritone, but that's too funny!

Changed my mind and bought a copy, which I presented to my music teacher yesterday (my Christmas gift).
Turns out Black Sabbath is a particularly favorite group of his, so he was very excited to receive the book.
He was very curious though, why anyone would score music of this genre for Ukelele, and because he is a musical information nerd, intends to research it.
I asked if he intended to have pick-ups put on his Ukelele, so when he plays an open mike concert of these tunes, it isn't "Black Sabbath Unplugged" which would seem to be an oxymoron.

"Kiss for Ukulele," however, would be going too far.

As would "Beatles for Sousaphone", or "Cream for string quartet".

They cover "Sunshine of Your Love" on https://monalisasound.com/cd-sympathy-for-the-devil so if Cream for String Quartet seems to be "going too far" then remember that we are already there.

Franny,
Didn't know that.
Wow! You replied to a post in less than nine paragraphs.
And in plain English too!
Well done you!
Could you also check on "Sex Pistols for viola"?
Thanks.

Uke players transcend all genres. There is also a tendency to modify ukes and use all sorts of tunings in the community.

merlin6666,
I can't comment on the alternate tunings, but the modifications are another story.
I can see Ukeleles modified to become cheese boards, fly swatters, Pickleball paddles, and Macedamia Nut storage bins.
The possibilities are endless.

Since we are veering into cross-genre I will mention Hayseed Dixie who got their start covering AC/DC songs as an electric bluegrass band.

And I love taking a uke to the local bluegrass jam. Or sometimes a 12 string Ovation, and I get lots of compliments on the sound (and I am fairly certain that it's not sarcasm).

Is this just another example of what I've come to know as "Fransplaining"?
