Goofy and weird and I think they're fascinating. Can't wait to try it!

Looks to be in nice condition. Is the new LR Baggs pickup connected to the volume and tone knobs?

Good question. But since it shows: "new LR Baggs undersaddle pickup, new Sprague cap" I'd assume the previous owner found some way to use the tone and volume pots, otherwise the new cap would make no sense. Let's wait for the review...

Boy, you sure don't see many of these, GAD. Good luck. If it sounds at all reasonable as an acoustic, that'd really be a win. By the way, am I crazy, or is that 15 frets to the body?

this guitar unplugged sounds the same as a solid body unplugged, only worse, becuase its acoustic strings. definitely needs to be plugged in (which sounded fantastic, but mine, like GADs, also had replaced electronics...I no longer own it). mine had a very slim neck, the whole package was seemingly just too small and thin. the songbirds feel more like a typical feeling guitar. GAD, have fun! certainly u can do more with a FS-20-CE, than I could have. after playing real acoustics for so long, the hybrids just aren't for me (and really they are all meant to be plugged in)

My D70-12E has stock volume and tone knobs, but the original pickup system was obsolete and sounded terrible. I was able to replace it with a Lyric Element system, and my guy was able to connect the the wires to the pots instead of the LR Baggs soundhole controls, which were not installed.

So it can be done.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure he only bought it because I have one and he's still trying to catch up to me! (Well that and the review aspect!)

I really to like it better in natural then my black one!

Very cool. That one was for sale locally for a couple weeks. The tweed-esque case it was listed with is also quite cool. Glad to see you jumped on it.
