plugged in the FS-20-CE sounds totally killer....BUT I have only heard it with aftermarket electronics.

A Songbird, I have personally determined, is really for lead shredders. Really dont understand the whole Barry Gibb thing. but, he is doing something right!

if u can live with the size of an FS20-CE, it sounds amazing plugged it. chords are full and rich. a great piece for someone that really actually gigs acoustic plugged in

I can shed some light on this Guitar. I bought it because I saw it had the potential of being a quality instrument, if done right. The prior owner before the person I bought the guitar from had removed the tone knob and put an on/off switch in its place. We have to remember that in 86/87 under saddle guitar pickups are not what they are today. The sound was thin and not very loud. I took the guitar to Cole's Music where one of Spokane's finest guitar luthiers installed the new electronics in it. The LR Baggs under saddle pickup is the model that is used in high end acoustic guitars. It was at his insistence that it was installed. He also releveled the neck. Later I had the cap changed. Since there was only one original knob on the guitar, I had the knobs you see installed on it. The original knob is cap shaped and is slippery to grasp. The both pots were replaced with quality pots (only 1 pot was in the guitar when I bought it). I spent a total of $1,400 on this guitar ($750 to buy it and $650 having it serviced by several luthiers). The person that sold the guitar to you didn't want the original Guild shipping box that I had. I kept it because I thought it was cool that it still existed after so many years. I have since discarded it. In Spokane many musicians wanted to buy this guitar from me but none of them had the bucks. I sold it because I stopped playing in bands and I no longer used it. But you have to admit it plays and sounds like a very fine instrument and it will cut through the sound of a live band. It is one of the best instruments I have owned. Enjoy!

Goofy and weird and I think they're fascinating. Can't wait to try it!
Wow, GAD, that one does look very interesting. I can see you loving it. This is right up your alley. I mean that in the best possible way of course.
