Hi folks. Was just showing some love to the '78 G-312 tonight. The Elixirs that I had on there had finally worn out, and now I'm back to uncoated D'Addario Phosphor Bronze for now. Took a lot of pictures during the string change, as I am wont to do. Feel free to peruse them all: http://i215.photobucket.com/albums/cc47/Chazmo_bucket/1978 Guild G312NT/. Here are a few which show the crack bracing my luthier did on the back and the top:

I'm always impressed with your (anyone's) interior shots. I guess I just need to get a smaller camera and give it a go.

Thanks (I think) for the inspiration to spend more money!

And thanks for the show,
Joe

You're welcome, Joe. It's just a simple Canon Powershot in "macro" mode in the soundhole.

I've had this axe a while, but I haven't taken any interior shots until now.

Always fun to share. ;)

Gotta luv them 312s. Nice shots, Chazzy... Think it's time to take Hanzz out of his case for a spin. When I get around to replacing the strings, I'll go with another set of DR Rare PBs... They really sound nice on that 12er.

Scratchy, I think I'll order up a set of DRs in my next batch from Strings&Beyond this year. I can certainly say that I like the warmness of the PB D'addys on Franzz more than the 80/20 Elixirs I had on there last. Another thing I want to try is a 12 string Thomastik set for a serious change of pace. I think I'll wait to try those on the 512 though.

I put a set of Thomastik's on the F212. Although very comfortable on the fingers and easy to fret, I found they don't project well on the 'hog'. They would probably sound better on a big ole booming Rosewood 512er...

As frosty said... they're different than anything else. :) Yeah, I'm using PB strings for all my hogs these days.
