John,

First of all, I'd like to say congratulations. Think about it, you have successfully completed more years on this Earth than any of us here. Think of it as being more experienced. Regardless, getting older certainly beats the alternative.

So far the geezer bit isn't too bad. Interesting mature perspectives.

You guys start talking about your bowell movements & your doctors appointments & I'm outa here !!!

Unless of course it's me that goes first.

On the other hand, my guitars are older that his. Wheew again.

Many folks when they get into their 50's don't like to hear about their birthdays. Me....I am always glad to have lived through another one. Considering my youth, I'm damn lucky to be here!!!

Gidday Ed.

That's a very pretty place where you live. Some of it reminds me of my own "back yard ".
Orca-watching, eh ! I could certainly handle some of that.

Welcome to the madness.

Kind regards, Coastie.

There once was a craftie named Coastie
Who left a strange postie for Moust. He
turned a john into a bicycle
that chilled his tool into an icicle,
but the furlined seat kept it toastie.

Bought my first Guild when I was 17, a new '72 D35, with proceeds from my first real "job.". It's had a tough life, but it is still the one I would never part with. Added a used '78 D35 for my girl friend (now wife) in '86, and just added a '74 D25M and a '74 G37Bld from eBay. Hate to say it, but the D25M's purpose is to be a "sacrifical lamb." I don't feel comfortable taking my D35 traveling or camping anymore... I would be heartbroken if anything happened to it.

g....dom, what's your vintage?

Hello All,

As I mentioned last week in a post, this coming friday I will be 40. I've been counting down for some time now, not because it is bothering me, but I remember when my parents and their friends turned 40 and it was such a big deal to them.

I'm not as old as they were when they hit 40, that's for sure!
