Switch brands now and again when your acoustic gets "too used" to a brand of string.

We've been lucky enough to see him twice at a smallish theater in Dallas over the years Wood. One night, for an encore, TE asked for requests, and I blurted out "Those who Wait"! We were very close to the front, and my wife punched me for screaming too loud, so I know he heard me.........then out it poured!he is such a nice guy.
and confirms that my SAS is not crazy after all, but according to Tommy, wise. lol

Pretty sure he's still a Maton guy (made in Australia)What acoustic brand does he play mostly? I think it's homegrown, no?

Yes, he and Keith Urban, both Australian, promote Maton (made in Australia) guitars, and TE almost always plays them, with an occasional Martin thrown in.What acoustic brand does he play mostly? I think it's homegrown, no?
He did qualify that by saying it was just his opinion. Having said that, if somebody with TE's talent and vast experience, along with his amazing ear gives his opinion, who am I to question him?Since when has a guitar of yours ever had a chance to "get used to" a string type?
Hell yeah. When he plays I really listen..When TE talks, I listen.

I saw a video once where he had borrowed a guitar student's GAD30 for a demo and handed it back to him and said "that's a really good guitar." I can find it.Pretty sure he's still a Maton guy (made in Australia)
Right?? I feel the same way watching Doyle D. That strange combo of deflated and inspired...Big Tommy Emmanuel fan here too, and I try to never miss him when he comes around. It can be a little depressing to watch him sometimes though, because it just reminds me how far I have to go!
Yep! Doyle D, too.Right?? I feel the same way watching Doyle D. That strange combo of deflated and inspired...
Inside joke with Clay. He's been known to struggle to keep a set of strings on his guitar for more than 3 days.He did qualify that by saying it was just his opinion.
