There is some footage of him playing a pretty incredible acoustic 12 string version of "Hear My train a 'comin'" on "Hendrix: A Documentary" (Sadly, not the Guild), but as much as I love the legacy, I understand the reservations about calling him "the greatest". I think "most influential" might be more appropriate, if one considers how many kids and other guitarists he might have inspired, and how some of his most trademark timbres are basically staples of rock guitar even today, to the point of being cliches in "rock muzak".dapmdave said:Or "electric" guitarist.
