There is a GSR X150D for sale near me for about 2400 dollars. Is this good value? Is it likely to be a significant improvement on my NS X175B? I will go and check for myself by playing it, of course, but I would welcome advice and input from the many of you more knowledgeable than me.

thanks

It is gonna be a significant improvement, not a question. I played it briefly, I loved the tone, built- excellent! However, I liked the neck on NS x175 better. I like the narrow nut width that NS guitars have. X150D didn't feel as comfortable, and also it's on a thin side in profile. I thought if I spend that much money, it's gotta be perfect. Oh, and the one I tried was around $2000-2100, at Rocky's in Brooklyn. $2400 is too high IMO.

Mind that you can't really compare US pricing with UK or European pricing. We need to add 19 or more percent VAT (20% in UK) to it as well as shipping costs.

Certainly from the pure looks the one in UK (a November 2013 model, NQ32xxxx) looks great:

As far as I read 26 were done worldwide, 13 in ATB and 13 in blonde.

that one at Code Music doesn't seem to be listed anymore, it may be sold, although it was indeed a beauty
