In reality, this black '94 is 1 & 21/32" and I set up the nut like all the rest of my 1 & 11/16" necks as far as the string spacing. The '96 project really _is_ 1 & 5/8"; and I'm going to be kind of attached to it after all the work involved. Remember it?

Anyway, when I get the A-25 finished and put back together, I'd like to have you see what your ear(s) think of it and I'll bring along the F4CE. If you've got the time and ambition.

I would love to check out your A-25. Those guitars have always intrigued me as I have seen them rarely pop up and have never played one.

I'd appreciate it 'cause my tinnitus pretty much negates any high frequencies and plays havoc with my discernment. Old age and too many days at the range in my youth.

They were only around for like 2 years if that. They're in the '96 catalog but not the spring '97.
15" lower bout width tells me it was intended to fill the F30 slot and had what was for Guild at the time a VERY unusual 1-3/4 inch nut.

That was what I was kinda thinking when I picked this one up re: the F30. Bracing & nut being the differences. Several braces on this one were loose, so she's in the shop for a while. And this one doesn't have the 1-3/4" nut anymore.
