For the longest time, I've been thinking that someone should do a book on Guild amplifiers. After a lot of hemming and hawing, I have decided to tackle that project. It's going to be the biggest task I've ever attempted, so I would appreciate any help I can get. If you have any Guild amps and would like to contribute to this project, I have set up an email account to submit pictures, documents, or anecdotes regarding this gear. Additionally, effects and other electronic gear would be great. If I get enough data, I can do a couple of chapters documenting them.

The address is GuildAmpBookSubmissions@gmail.com

If you decide to submit anything, please include contact information so I can give proper attribution for the picture or item.

It's going to be a ton of work, so I thank you in advance for any help you can give!

lots of variations within any given model of all Guild amps. This should keep you busy for a while...
Have fun!

Very cool. I have one of the 66-J amps. I replaced the filter caps but all else is original - I'd be happy to document it and take a few photos.
I've seen lots of speculation about tied to Ampeg, everything from Ampeg made their amps to the workers just drank at the same bar.

They bought some of the chassis from Ampeg. Some of the designs Are copycats (98RVT, I'm looking at you), but they were their own thing for the most part. bmac, I would be happy to take anything you could give me!
