Hello folks,I am a new member here,I have a Guild Aviator which nobody seems to know anything about, I wonder if anyone can help me ?? It is the usual Aviator shape, in metallic red, but it has a single Guild pick-up, Guild tail piece and bridge, single volume control,no trem at all, which seems odd !! I have looked on the net, everywhere I can think of, and can't find another picture or reference to this particular guitar, can anyone help me ???

Ive seen a TOM bridge Aviator before. It was black and basic. Ive seen Aviators with all kinds of bridges on them, Kahler Pro, Traditional, 2700, Killer, etc, etc. They are all different. I have 4 of them and all 4 are very different from one another...............

Hello streamer,

Welcome! The Aviator with 1 humbucker was one of the many options available at the time, but it was not one of the most popular configurations. The ones that I've seen like that were from the middle of 1985, somewhere in the # 250 neighborhood.
Even less were done without the Kahler tremolo, because that was 'the tool to have' around that time and while most of the Kahler equipped ones had black hardware, the ones without vibrato units usually had chrome hardware.
Cool guitar for the player who likes that 'Les Paul Junior-kinda' feel and who doesn't need the extra controls to get the message across!

Sincerely,

Hans Moust
