Thinking about cosmetic changes to my JF30-12, and was curious so went to look for a black pickguard for it at the shop on guildguitars.com, and the site is down with a message its coming back soon. Wonder what they are doing? While at it, thinking I might also want to swap the gold tuners out for chrome, but likely get those elsewhere, but it got me wondering if they are adding new merch? just redesigining it?

Are you sure the pickguard you'd order from them would fit your older Guild?? They did vary a lot over the years and you want it to fit the shadow it's going to leave. Maybe have one made. Or order from Stew-Mac and make it yourself? Just wondering out loud is all....

I don’t, but think worst case when it arrived, if it didn’t fit exact, I’m sure I could return it. Then I’d know :)

I hope they're fixing it. It's always been a nightmare to navigate.

I must’ve missed Ralf’s post about YGG, he says they are consolidating the CMG and YGG offices in SoCal, and the web store was down as part of the new moves. Already with the new standards and the Polara line, I can’t wait to see what else YGG brings to the table, very exciting news to me. Go Guild!

It's been down for a few days at least (maybe more than a week), and I was thinking the same thing that they're trying to work out who's responsible for marketing brand accessories. I wouldn't expect a quick resolution to this.

There is no excuse for letting a website go down due to a move. The vast majority of websites are cloud based these days and even if they’re linking to a back-end database “in the office” I would think someone would get fired if the move brought it down. Maybe that happened and “the guy” (there’s often just a guy) got fired.

Maybe I should reach out and offer to fix it for them. They could pay me in guitars.

It seems like it was intentionally brought down, GAD, as part of the guildguitars.com web page. At least I think that's what folks are talking about here. Namely if you click the "Guild Shop" button on that page.

I was replying to the post quoted in my post that said "the web store was down as part of the new moves"

Actually as it seems to be redesigned by Yamaha's marketig people it seems to be up for selected audiences already as one has to enter a "preview code".

Same work done for the Cordoba Guitars Webshop:

And the complete CMG webpage is completely down currently, so there is also something happening.
