Guild sighting, 2 out of 3 Guild's

I have posted a 1967 clip of the Youngbloods wherein it appears that they are playing a Starfire 4 for lead guitar, Starfire bass, and a Gibson Les Paul for 2nd lead guitar. Am I correct? Not bad sounding instruments for a poor quality recording, eh?

Hmmm. If it is a Guild bass then it has to be a Starfire. The video isn't good enough to let me really see the identifying details. If I had to guess I would say it is a Starfire I with the PU in the bridge position which would date the bass to mid 1966 or earlier. It looks more like a Hagstrom than a Mickey Mouse PU. I am concerned because one of the shots where you can see the width of the bass makes it look too wide for a Starfire. I'd also venture that they were lip synchin' since there were a couple shots where the bassist's left hand didn't seem to me to be matching what I was hearing. Search found this LTG discussion of another clip which included non-Guild basses as well.
