Happy eclipse day! We're blue skies here so if nothing changes should have no trouble virwing, although unfortunately we're only getting around 75%. At least this time we have proper glasses and the colander can stay in the kitchen.

I wonder how long it takes GAD to set up his system. Do you suppose he's already out there?

We're in the 99% zone, but it's cloudy!

We'll get 94% but high (thin) clouds are moving in this afternoon so who knows what it will be like.

About 15 minutes.

No. It’s only 41 degrees at the moment. :)
Here's hoping it warms up in the next few hours! I hope it goes well and the skies are crystal clear. I'll be looking forward to the results of all your labors!

It's a bit breezy here but clear so far.

We get about 51% in Las Vegas. It starts about 10:15am our time and ends about 12:30 with the peak at 11:20. Right now it's so cloudy out, I doubt I could see anything even if I wanted to. So I'll just wait to see the results of GAD's amazing photography. He's in a way better spot for it anyway!

It looks like there might be a bit of cloud cover in Lake Placid, and where I was heading in West Chazy NY. My cousin in Jefferson NH is looking good though!

I have a class that gets out at 3:15, but I'm going to let them out early. That way, they have time to go back to the dorms, get stoned, and then come back out for the eclipse...
It's legal in MA correct? Then they can just get stoned while they're watching the eclipse!

Clouds have rolled in but are moving and leave a gap every now and then.

I can see about a quarter of the sun covered right now.

It was only 50% obscurity here in southern AZ. Still, a neighbor gave us his eclipse glasses, as I drove all over, they were all sold out, I was kind of late to party...

the smile on my 10 year old's face was priceless. It looked like a half-moon sun. We streamed the live feed when Mazatlan went all dark, that was really cool. I bet GAD will get some killer pictures.

I took dog for walk when it was "max'd" here in AZ. My eyes could tell, even looking on ground or even a bit up in trees, the sun glare was just dangerous. Like my eyes could tell, "whatever you do dude, do NOT look up!"
