I like working on holidays. There's nobody around to interrupt me.
Yep. That and not having management around heps a bit. Still sucks for the ones at home hoping you'd be around...

Luckily, I didn't work today or any day for the last 8 days, except for one half-day. It's been WONDERFUL!! I made sure to check in with all my favorite bartenders in all my favorite places and enjoy their company and tip like there's no tomorrow, although considering the end of the world didn't happen (again) I know there will be. But that's the spirit of GIVING and they treat me so well that it's nice to return the favor.

There's some serious gluing and binding going on in the garage and ... OH MY.... I just have to stand BACK and let it all happen. Happy Christmas Eve everyone! Don't you all wish we could just snap our fingers and be in the same place and have a toast or two, and then "snap" be back all snug and happy at home?

It's a very Samantha Stevens wish, but.... I still like it.

I'll be back at work on Wednesday and New Years Eve and Day for us is like a freakin' ZOO..... New Years in Vegas?? YIKES!! I'd better rest up......

I have worked Christmas once in the past for a job at a convenience store I had in college. Never again, though.

But my wife is a nurse, so she has done some Christmas work days over the years. She just started a new job, with no holidays or weekends - a rarity for a nurse!
