Unlike all these Taylor owners, like on the country music show someone had mentioned. Seems everybody owns a Taylor, and as a result, they all look alike, sound alike, and there is no individual personality. Open a guitar case, and it's another Taylor.
Not so when there is a Guild dreadnought under the lid . . . I get gasps and oohs and ahhs whenever I open my guitar case, and that beautifully aged top, the silky waves in the grain, the "Guild" headstock which adorns the upper end really impresses everyone that sees it. I just sit back and let the instrument speak for itself.
And then I respectfully and carefully pull the D-50 out of its case, and strum a nice "D" chord, and eyebrows go up, and I get stuff like, "Wow"! "What a sound . . .!"
Sum - thin' special about a Guild player . . . . We march to a different beat, across the grain, and can hold our heads high!
