Hello everyone!

I need your help to figure out which exact model is this Guild.

https://picasaweb.google.com/1071849107 ... zpmpsaOwSQ

They tell me it's a "Guild Type SG Vintage", but I've been unable to find any data about any model named like this or similar.
On the other hand, the serial number is not very clarifying at all.... as usual. Only that it was built in 1973.

It will mean a big help.

Thanks to all for your time and interest.

Welcome to LTG !
That is a Guild S-50. It might be actually from 1974, as in 1973 they still had Hagstrom made single coils.
You can read this in Hans' book on page 161:
http://www.amazon.com/Guild-Guitar-Book ... 0634009664
In Hans' book you also can check the serial number to see exactly when your model was made. The serial number list in Hans' book is the only one to use, the serial number lists you find on the web have all some errors.

See it here in the 1975 Guild Guitar catalog:

Mind that the humbucker on the model in your pictures is not the original one, it seems to be a replacement from another supplier, it does not look like the original Guild humbucker to me.

Thank you for the warm welcome and for such complete information and help. The links where priceless!!!

What your appraisal would be for this model in good conditions?

The information on the internet it's kind of contradictorial.... for some it's a very rare piece, and others value it in less than 400 $.

Thanks again.

It depends what you read and if you just searched for S-50.
The S-50 was offered in total different shapes, have a look what a 60ties S-50 looked like:

It was called S-50 Jetstar in the 60ties.
It had a different price point, mind that gbase pricing is at the high end:

This one here sold for $499:

ANd don't forget that "rare" doesn't neccessarily mean "valuable".
Unless you're selling something on the internet.
