Hello guys, I recently acquired for my live shows a Guild G 512 E and I literally love it, it's supreme however I struggle with feedback when on a big stage.

I have tried to get a sound hole cover to avoid it and tried a few models, this is the latest I got https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B0010SHU18?psc=1&ref=ppx_yo2ov_dt_b_product_details
Because of the preamp controls I struggle to fit it properly, it also seems even the hole is 100mm needs a smaller cover or at least a different design that does not cover the controls.
I wonder if any of you faced this issue in the past and how you resolved it?
Any advice on which hole cover to buy will be massively appreciated.
Cheers

rdavles,

First, welcome to LTG! Would love to see pictures of your new F-512. King of the 12s, if you ask me... :)

As for feedback, that is a big problem with a guitar as resonant as the big jumbo... I'm not sure how folks have solved the problem, but you might have to turn off the microphonics on the Baggs system when you're on stage. You might even need a different (magnetic) pickup system.

I have a K&K pure western mini pickup system on my F-512, and it does suffer badly from feedback if my guitar is near a speaker on stage.

Good luck. I hope other folks have more direct solutions for you. You might try cutting your soundhole cover so the circuit board fits in it. Even if there's a small gap, it'll still probably help.
