Awesome.
Awesome.
WW: Your question is way more technical than I can answer. I'm a stricly "analogue" guy with no recording skills. Maybe someone else will weigh in.Wonder what was his setup. Like is there a mic attachment for iPhones and does a better job recording bs the built in computer one? If I not using a computer, what is a super simple but better recording devise?
Rayk gave me some ideas a while back but I need even simpler. Think tascam tape recorder lol.WW: Your question is way more technical than I can answer. I'm a stricly "analogue" guy with no recording skills. Maybe someone else will weigh in.
The first album he did at age 24 is one of the best albums of all time.Stills is a vastly underrated, IMO, singer, songwriter and guitarist. The Manassas album is one of the greatest albums of the early 70s.
Well just have to disagree on that. Manassas is his opus, in my opinion. It's a masterpiece. The first album he did at age 24 is one of the best albums of all time.

Oh ok I thought you meant his Stephen Stills album from 1970. I agree Manassas is a great great album, and really shows off his range as a writer and playerI meant the first Manassas album, which he did at 24. It's one of the best albums of all time.
Buffalo Springfield and CSN/Y were also strong but not on that levelThat first Manassas album is probably the most collaborative effort Stills ever led, largely thanks to Chris Hillman. Also probably the best band of musicians he's ever been a part of.
