Hi
New poster here. Recently snagged a black Korean Starfire Special/bigsby in my quest to replace the "real" 60's Starfire II, I owned and sold many years ago. I found the newer one at a decent price and had to jump. I'm toying with installing a roller bridge, but the jury is still out. Just collecting opinions at the moment regarding the bridge. The guitar seems as decent as the original one according to memory.
Regards

Welcome Prairie!
My only experience with DeArmond was with an M75, and not conclusive, so I decided to stick to Guilds, and I am in absolute love with my recently acquired 66 Starfire.
Keep us updated on your project, and pics are always welcome round here!

They actually came with a DeArmond Roll-o-Matic bridge toward the end of their production. A lot of people complain about roller bridges (rattles, sustain loss) but I have no complaints about the Roll-o-Matic that came stock on my DeArmond M-77T.

I've got one of those, a red one, Korean made. I'd leave the setup alone, it's real stable the way it is, just my $.02 as an owner of one. Just finished playing it a few minutes ago, in fact :D Ernie Ball Power Slinkys make it play real nice!

Does anyone have a a link to or a pdf of the manual that came with this model? Not that I need one, just curious about the contents.
