Pardon me for being a dum bass, but how do I search posts made before the switch to V Bulletin?

With great difficulty. The following contains a lot of hypothetical speculation on my part. Member GAD should know enough to correct me if I'm wrong.

Basically, the old posts were not indexed for searching on the new board. Hopefully there is a button that can be pushed to start the (re)indexing process but there is no point in doing so until the board is rehosted and back at www.letstalkguild.com since any indexing done now will have ltgvB in the URL of the results.

Google is indexing the new board and I believe is slowly getting old stuff, although I am not certain.

Moderators still have limited access to the old board. It is tedious but we can search there and edit the results so they point to the new location of the old post on this board.

But patience is advised because any work done to index now will have to be redone when this is rehosted. Don has not announced his schedule for that, yet.

Darryl,

This might help:

Click Advanced Search (in the upper-right corner of the page)

You are defaulted to the Search Multiple Content Type tab. I tend to prefer to click the Search Single Content Type tab. Should you select Single Content, select a Search Type of Posts

Either way, under the Additional Options heading set the 'Find Posts:' option to 1 month ago and older.
