how rare is the DCE1 with red finish?

Don't know, but I wouldn't think it would effect the price much. Basically it's just a D25, and that one on Ebay is a little high. I like mine, but I wouldn't pay that much.

I, too, think it's overpriced. Especially in today's market. I was thinking the only thing that might justify the price would be rarity.

Even if the red finish is relatively rare for that model I don't think it would do much too the value. Now, if it was green... ;)

Or orange, which I don't think they ever used on mahogany.

But when I was at the Westerly factory, I saw them put green on a flattop jumbo hog. It was St. Patrick's Day, and they put it on Rosie O'Donnell.

Yep. It didn't sell the last time he had it on ebay, so he relisted it a higher price.
