Huge Mississippi Alligator

This gator is just huge. I get it, they are a nuisance, and there are hunting laws, and hopefully they eat it and the skin goes to good use. I still hate to see a dead animal. Huge. Just Mother Nature at her finest, and some dinosaur DNA. 802 lbs. and 14 feet 3 inches.

I'm no fan of alligators, and they're one of the reasons I'd never live in Florida, but why did they have to kill it?

I agree. I believe he (or she) earned the right to live, just because...

I wouldn't want it living in the river that goes through my backyard, but I couldn't kill it. Maybe it had become a serious danger to kids and pets. I've going with that.

They opened one up a few years back, after it chowed someone's dog. Inside they found many a dog tag...
