Hard to say. If it was, there would probably be a raised outline of it showing on the new shielding.

The routing looks irregular but the copper shielding looks right. How hard is that to do by hand or in not-the-factory?
I wasn't responding so much to the shielding, but more about the nice even routing countersink for the coverplate, and the shape of the cover. I guess that could be done at home, but I'd think if I was making a one-off, I'd much rather use a shape that there is an existing off-the shelf cover, like for a Les Paul.

There are also treble-bleeds on the volume controls, which definitely wouldn't be from Guild, but they look like they were added after the fact.

I asked about the shielding because it looked Guild like to me and if it were difficult to do I would lean towards the creator having factory access.

I think the use of a LL prefix for prototypes started in 1980 which is after when this neck was stamped.

The real prototypes we have seen tended to get more of the Guild details correct - screw heads and such, for example.

I'm leaning towards a Frankenstein made by someone who had access to Guild parts - pickup, neck, wiring harness, knobs, etc. - but a good breeze could get me to lean in another direction.

Ralf's S-300 neckplate looks substantially different
Yes, but my one is "special" with that neck plate.
The one DThomasC has was according to Hans also most probably finished outside the factory. Look at two details on his one:

I'm leaning with @fronobulax, as I would think the four bolts in the neck plate would be all they used at the factory, the lone phillips screw in an angle at the heel of the neck is puzzling. Thinking along the same lines of; someone slapped this together with parts they had access to or laying around. "Plays great" is what Guild necks do, and whatever it is, its a cool looking guitar either way, how's it sound?
