Yikes! I though my Aria Pro II guitars had a lot of electronics but clearly they're just amateurs. LOL!

Here's me, circa 1979 with a Hagstrom. To this day I have no idea what all those switches did. :)

UH-oh. I just realized I still dress like that.

But of course, we all want to know if you still have the hat?

In fact, at only about 10 years old, the hat would be the newest addition! But I got a narrow leather strip for a hatband, with a bluejay feather stuck in the side. :D

Isn't it funny how the old imported electric guitars, which we were wetting ourselves to get when we were young, and then couldn't get rid of fast enough once we became "mature," are now desirable again?

While I would like to have some of them as keepsakes now, just as well I don't as SWMBO would hold them against me as "more guitars."

If I had known in 1967 that when I was 57 years old I'd have a tele, strat and jaguar (albeit MIM), plus Gibson and Guild acoustics, I probably would have had apoplexy!

Let's see, in 1967, I had a Guild F-212, a Harmony classical (really my first wife's) and an ugly red Supro resophonic guitar that I had traded a Hagstrom I or II for in '66. I'd probably still have the Supro as well as the 212 if it hadn't gotten stolen from my parter's apartment in Manhattan in 1969 or 70. Gee, maybe this is actually it:

Something must be wrong with me. I don't even recall that my first bass had a brand name and my second is still with me. Maybe I don't have the G.A.S. gene or maybe there was something about getting a Guild early...

...perhaps it was one of those ubiquitous Japanese basses, sort of an abrieviated melted-Jaguar shape, big single pickup? That was THE starter bass around here, and while many were branded "Howard," there were also many that had no name on the headstock.

They actually sounded wonderful through an Ampeg B-15 (tube, of course...)

It looks more like a video-game controller than a guitar. I wonder if it has a garage-door opener... maybe that was an option.
