If you were to pick a non-electric car that you would think was cool to make into one, what would it be?

But I'll never buy another Jeep :)
I'm with you there, but I'd extend it to whatever Chrysler/Plymouth is called these days.

How about an electric Tucker 48

Or Graham 97?

My first instincts are to choose a design classic like an Auburn, Bugatti, Shelby, GT40, or something in that vein.

However, I think I would opt for practicality and usefulness. I would truly love an EV version of a super tough 4WD camper van overlander of some kind--like one of the older style purpose built Ford Sportsmobiles.

Or even maybe an electric version of my little '87 4WD Toyota Vanwagon.

Mine was 300D - 5-cylinder diesel - by the time I sold it there was way too much repairing ahead. And those days they were not that expensive cars. Sort of like "Why did grandpa sell that lot in backwoods so cheap? Now it is next to Main Street in downtown."

Nuuska, I love the idea of converting an old 300D into electric. Get one more of those old smokers off the road! :)

I'd start with a 1934 Auburn Speedster Boat Tail kit car so as to not ruin the value of a classic ... well, that and I couldn't possibly afford the real thing ...

Remember the finnish guy exploding his Tesla?

All vital parts - battery - motor - wiring harness - etc - were removed. They are now at someone who is going to put them into a MB G - not the short convertible - but a G just the same.

The Fozzy Bear Studebaker!
They used 2 1951 Commander 2 door sedans for the Muppet film. The one I'd choose in the photo is a '50 Business Coupe which would be the lightest model for the '47--'51 Studebakers. Single seat and enormous space in the trunk all the way to the back of that seat for batteries.

I could go with that. You'd get really funny, but quickly receding, looks when you step on the go pedal with a full power electric drive system.

My question is , just how big of a screen needs to be in the car to properly setup and adjust all the systems in the car?
